About NBOTB
The Pepsi National Battle of the Bands (NBOTB) celebrates the incredible contributions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to music, culture, and leadership. Founded by Derek Webber, the event serves as the ultimate showcase of HBCU marching bands, connecting communities and inspiring the next generation.
Through its mission to amplify HBCU excellence, the NBOTB has generated nearly $1.7 million in scholarships, making a lasting impact on students and their futures. More than just an event, the NBOTB is a cultural experience that fosters pride, innovation, and unity.
